Less than four short
years ago, our lives were changed forever when
our oldest child, Cal Sutter, a 12-year old
South Elgin Little League All-Star, was
diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. The
battle with pediatric cancer is a horrible
nightmare no child or family should ever have to
experience. Yet, like most children, Cal never
gave up hope and through it all, he was always
more concerned about the well-being of the other
children fighting cancer than he was about
himself. Even though Cal ultimately lost his
battle with leukemia in August of 2006, the
courage he displayed throughout inspired us to
start Cal’s All-Star Angel Foundation, Inc. – a
tax exempt, 501(c)(3) pediatric cancer
foundation. Our main mission and purpose –
granting wishes and providing financial
assistance to kids fighting cancer and their
families – continues Cal’s legacy of always
caring about others above anything else.

Send Teen Cancer Survivors on an Outdoor
Adventure Expedition
You Will Receive One of These Exclusive
Walter Payton Collectors’ Edition Photos!
Collector photographs #1, #34 and #400 will
be offered through an Auction at the
Cal’s Angels 3rd Annual Golf Outing and Dinner
Fundraising Event on June 12, 2009.
Our goal is not to simply sell you a photo of
Walter Payton but to provide you with something
of value in return for your generous donation of
$100 which 100% of each and every penny will
help us send teen cancer survivors on an outdoor
expedition and camping experience of a lifetime.
This experience is geared towards building
confidence and social skills after years of
cancer treatment that has left most of them
isolated and out of touch with their
peers.
We personally met many of the participants at an
informational meeting and we can tell you they
are very excited to learn how to set up camp,
cook outdoors, rock climb, rappel, kayak and
participate in other team building activities
with their peers who have all been through the
same life threatening ordeal our family knows
all too well.
The Expedition will be run by The Road Less
Traveled (http://www.theroadlesstraveled.com),
a company educating youth to believe in
themselves and their individual and collective
abilities to shape the future. They lead young
men and women on challenging, stimulating, mind
and soul expanding journeys.
Please help us help these kids have the
great time they deserve!
In exchange for your fully tax deductible $100
donation you will receive a limited edition
photograph that depicts Legendary Chicago Bears
Running Back, Walter Payton, as he is entering
the field for his last home game at Soldier
Field. Cal’s All-Star Angel Foundation, Inc.
received the photographs as a generous gift from
sports photographer Bob Baer. Four hundred hand
numbered photographs were made for us. Each is
matted and framed with hand-etched glass
featuring the number 34. Included is a brass
name plate reading “Walter Payton”, a hologram
with corresponding
collector’s number and a Certificate of
Authenticity. This same photograph is featured
in Chicago Bears History by Roy Taylor.
About the photographer:
Bob Baer began to photograph the Chicago Bears
in 1984 as they were poised to become the most
dominant NFL team of the 1980's. Bob took
thousands of photos of the Bears at the peak of
their success and provided many photos to sports
memorabilia collectors. He continued to
photograph the Bears as a freelancer until 1996.
Bob focuses on collecting unique pieces of
memorabilia such as photos, autographs, jerseys,
footballs and posters that he uses to create
extraordinary pieces of art available from
http://www.sportsartbybob.com. Bob has
photos on display in the Payton Museum in Walter
Payton's Round House Restaurant, Ditka's and
SRO's in Chicago.
Thank you in advance for helping us send
these special children to camp!
Help us Build a Playroom! We have a goal to raise $25,000 to cover the cost of
supplying the game and activity room on the Oncology floor at the new Children’s
Memorial Hospital in Chicago with art supplies, crafts, video games and DVD’s.
