The Bank of America, Chicago Marathon was run on Sunday, October 11th with 33,687 runners. A record number of 123 charities were represented this year. Ginger Imes, Jeff Lietz, Niki McGowan and Don Rivkin ran the 26.2 miles on behalf of Cal’s Angels. Each of them accomplished an amazing personal goal and at the same time they raised $3,290. Enough funds were raised to grant the wishes of at least four children or financially assist their families. What an impact these four champions have made – THANK YOU!
Race Director and Board Member Taksina Davis organized, coordinated and ran the 2nd Annual 5K Run, 2-Mile Walk and Kids Events without a hitch. She selflessly gave of her time and talents on behalf of Cal’s All-Star Angels and childhood cancer awareness – THANK YOU!
The Gordon Flesch Charitable Foundation (www.gflesch.com) donated $5,000 in support of The Road Less Traveled Outdoor Adventure Trip for Cancer Survivors – THANK YOU!

Nancy Hooper and Misty Mystele from the Clipper Magazine (www.clippermagazine.com) and Monica Zaya from The Damsel Beauty Lounge (www.damselbeautylounge.com) raised $600 for Cal’s Angels at the Fall High Fashion Runway and Live Musical Entertainment Show at the Arcada in St. Charles – THANK YOU!
Residents of Juniper Lane in South Elgin will once again support Cal’s Angels. Beginning Thanksgiving weekend, the multi-year winners of the South Elgin Neighborhood Christmas Decorating Award will have Santa and his helpers stationed on their well-decorated street collecting donations for our year-end fundraising drive as well as canned goods for the South Elgin Food Pantry. Please show your support and visit Juniper Lane in South Elgin where their goal is to add to the more than $5,000 they have raised for the Foundation over the last two years – THANK YOU!
