Meet Our Next Board Chairman: Brad Beetham

We are proud to officially announce our next Board Chairman, Brad Beetham. Brad began his term at the start of 2024, but he and his family's relationship with Cal's Angels started nearly a decade ago when his daughter was diagnosed with pediatric cancer. Since then, he has been an integral part of the organization, and we look forward to all that he will accomplish in this role. Read on for Brad's message to the community as he embarks on this new journey:

“‘A life of significance.' As a father whose daughter was diagnosed with cancer, my significance to this world has been to dedicate my energy, time, and passion to Cal's Angels. I dedicate myself as the next Board Chairman of Cal's Angels to assist in the growth of this powerful organization. To help the children and families that are told some of the worst news possible…that their child has cancer. My family experienced that anguish as we lived through three years of Madi's treatment. 1,095 days of uncertainty, financial strain, anxiety, and so many other life-altering realities. Cal's Angels was a source of light and positivity in our darkest days. Once I was introduced to this organization, I knew I had to be part of it. No matter the outcome for Madi, I wanted to do whatever I could to help as many other families as possible. I joined Cal's as a Board Member in 2015 and have been fortunate to participate in 8 years of amazing growth. We've extended our footprint regionally, entering into wonderful partnerships including the Big Ten Cancer Consortium. I have ridden every mile of the 5 War on Wheels rides across our country to fund research. I am excited and blessed to follow in the footsteps of two amazing men, Ken Buckman and Ryan Phillips who preceded me with great success and leadership. I have been to too many funerals, and seen too many families' lives permanently changed due to this disease. To the past, present, and future kids and their families facing this disease, I promise we will continue to fight with you and for you. We will never forget the children we have lost. Donors and supporters, we will continue to be the gold standard and a trusted steward of your donations for our worthy cause.”
