Cal’s Angels announces partnership with CureSearch for the Chicagoland CureSearch Walk

Two nonprofits join forces for Critical Children’s Cancer Research

February 29, 2016 – This September, the Chicagoland CureSearch Walk at Boomer’s Stadium in Schaumburg will have a new partner in their fight against childhood cancer – Cal’s Angels. These two groups will bring more than 2,000 people together to celebrate children with cancer and honor those who have lost their fight. Funds raised at the walk will help drive research that accelerates the search for cures.

“This is a great partnership,” said Erin Richey, CureSearch’s Manager of Signature Events. “Between Cal’s mission of granting wishes and providing financial assistance to the families of children with cancer, and CureSearch’s drive to end children’s cancer, this opportunity underscores the amount of support needed to make a difference in the young lives of those battling cancer.

Founded in 2007, Cal’s Angels has raised more than $2.5M, bringing hope and support to 700+ pediatric cancer patients and their families through wish-granting, Cal’s Comfort Kits, and the many hospital programs.

“The opportunity to collaborate with such an industry leader when it comes to ending children’s cancer is a golden one. While only research will end cancer, there are more than 40,000 children who are fighting for their lives today who need not only emotional but also financial support, and that’s where we shine,” said Stacey Sutter, President of Cal’s Angels.
