Eleyna was a happy, easy going 2nd grader that loved school and life. When she started having leg pains and fevers we took her to the doctor. We thought it was just growing pains. After many blood tests and other procedures she was diagnosed with ALL in October of last year. She has spent almost a year in treatment so far with various chemo therapies and other treatments. Including spinal taps with chemotherapy. Now she is currently in the maintenance stage. Eleyna still has to take oral chemo pills daily and other medications through her port every few weeks. But since her energy level has gone back up she now gets to go to school and is returning to living her happy, more normal life! She will be finished with treatment January of 2021.
