“Cals Angels has been extremely influential in our lives. Since the moment they granted Izzy's wish they instantly have been there for us and have become good friends. They have lifted up our spirits on countless occasions, when we had some dark days, as our Izzy underwent chemo for Leukemia.
Izzy and Liam, Izzy's brother, had the opportunity to go on the Fantasy Flight with Cal's Angels and United Airlines, which was an incredible and very magical experience! Then, right when our hearts were full for the holidays, Cal's Angels decorated the outside of our home with holiday lights! The light this brought to our children's eyes was unforgettable. Liam was Homecoming Prince at Batavia High School and Izzy was an Awareness Ambassador and Honorary Captain at Kaneland High School's Go Gold Game this past September.
Cal's Angels has touched each and every one of us – they don't just focus on the child in the cancer journey, they touch the entire family. There is always a focus on making sure the siblings are not left out! We are extremely grateful for all that the Cal's Angels organization has done for us. We will forever give back as we know Cal's Angels is brightening the days of so many families and they are impacting the future of pediatric medicine through their research funding efforts.” – Colleen, Izzy's Mom
At the age of 1, Izzy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
