Kate is a student at Hampshire High School. On October 19th, 2009 Kate was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). She was just 4 years old. She started treatment the following day but due to a brain bleed and multiple strokes, her treatment was suspended for more than a week. Once they felt comfortable to resume, they did so. Two days before Thanksgiving, we were told Kate was cancer-free, but she continued her chemotherapy regimen until January 2012. She is now in the star program and seen annually.
