“We have attended the Cal’s Angels auction dinner for years.  This past June we decided to bid on the “Fund-A-Wish” during the live auction.  For $750 we were able to make a child’s (with cancer) wish come true.  On November 18, 2012 our family had he pleasure of meeting Alyson and her family.  Alyson’s mom, Teresa invited us in for muffins. Alyson is a 10 year-old, beautiful girl who loves soccer.  She was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia in June of 2011.  We couldn’t believe how positive and strong she is.  We asked Alyson and her family questions about her battle with cancer.  Alyson talked about how she lost her hair and she wore cute hats to cover her head.  Teresa is planning on donating all of Alyson’s hats to a little girl battling cancer.  Alyson’s sister was quiet but she did say how she felt ignored at first because everyone focused their attention on Alyson.  Alyson is currently on maintenance.  We had a great experience.  Alyson was surprised to see us and she loves her new Macbook Pro laptop.  Our family is thankful to have met Alyson and her family.  What a great way to start off the Thanksgiving week and the Holiday season.  Stacey and Tom, thank you for the opportunity to meet such a great girl.”
