Stacey Sutter – President, Co-Founder

Stacey is the backbone of Cal’s Angels. Her goal is to connect with every pediatric cancer family when she knows they need it the most.

Prior to the founding of Cal’s Angels, Stacey committed her life to raising her children. However, after living the nightmare of pediatric cancer, and ultimately losing Cal, she made it her goal to carry on his legacy. Stacey saw the impact that cancer can have on the entire family and from that point, made it her mission to bring joy to children and their families who are fighting cancer. Stacey has spent the last 10 years building Cal’s Angels to become a very well known and respected 501(c)(3) organization. Her personal connection with the patients and parents is inspirational. She walks with them along their journey and holds their hand along the way. Her passion for Cal’s Angels’ mission and programs and her drive to bring awareness to pediatric cancer is endless. Shari Evers – Wish Granter

Shari interacts with all of the families we support through Wish Granting, Financial Assistance, and 12 Oaks Sibling Assistance programs.

I love that Cal’s Angels leaves a lasting, personal touch on the people we encounter – whether they are a wish recipient, volunteer, or supporter.

Born and raised in the local area and living just miles from where I grew up. I’ve been married 20 years and am a mother to three amazing children. Aside from these loves of my life, I love to travel, especially anywhere warm that provides me with my love of vitamin D. To get in touch with Shari, email

Lara Hoepner – Special Events Director

Lara plans all of Cal’s Angels’ fundraising events and monthly hospital parties to Lurie Children’s Hospital.

I love Cal’s Angels! I started as a supporter and got hooked. To be part of an organization that can put real smiles on these kids going through the worst time possible makes my heart full.

Laughter is necessary to keep my sanity in this crazy world of ours. I am married to my best friend, Richie, who helped me form our own baseball team of seven children and our dog, Pippa, who rounds out the roster. As for hobbies, I fill my daily schedule as taxi driver, kids’ playmate, grocery getter, and payer of too many bills. To get in touch with Lara, email

Susan Ingebretsen – Director of Operations & Finance

Susan handles all of the accounting and operations at Cal’s Angels to keep our day to day interactions with families running smoothly.

I had the honor of knowing Cal and saw how he battled this nasty disease. He inspired me to get involved with the organization (my “second family”) from Day 1. My heart swells when I see the smiles that Cal’s Angels brings to every child and their families during the most difficult of times. Being a superhero for smiles is an awesome job! When I’m not wearing my superhero cancer-fighting cape, you’ll find me cheerleading my kids from the sidelines of soccer games. Among my loves in life, spending time with family tops the chart, followed by travel, and the chance to curl up with a good book. To get in touch with Susan, email

Ashley Nakayama – Program Director

Ashley manages all of Cal’s Angels new initiatives with a focus on corporate and hospital partnerships.

My favorite part about working at Cal’s Angels is the unique bond we form with each family we meet and help. We are able to pass that bond onto our donors, volunteers, and sponsors.

I am married to my favorite person and mom to three beautiful children. Spending time with my family is top of my list, but the other loves of my life include baking, playing board games, and interior design. To get in touch with Ashley, email

Amy Nottke – Marketing/Social Media

For the last few years I have been a freelance Graphic Designer and Social Media artist for Cal’s Angels and have loved every minute of it. With my youngest starting school full-time in the fall I was able to take on a full-time position with Cal’s and I couldn’t be more excited! I work with a great group of women who have one goal in mind – doing all we can to make the lives of kids with cancer and their families a bit better. I am proud to represent Cal’s Angels.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, we have 3 amazing kids and a flock of chickens. We love cheering on the University of Georgia football team! Go Dawgs! To get in touch with Amy, email
