Tom Sutter - Co-Founder
Tom Sutter is a multi-threat professional – the serious job that pays the bills, the fun job that pays the heart and soul and a published author, inspirational speaker and travel guide to success in business and sales. At Crum-Halsted Insurance (www.crumhalsted.com) in Sycamore, Illinois, Tom is the Vice President of Sales & Business Development which involves the recruiting, training and development of commercial insurance and employee benefits producers while maintaining and growing his own book insurance business.
Tom also co-founded and is the president of Cal’s All-Star Angel Foundation (www.calsangels.org), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in St. Charles, Illinois, that grants the wishes of children battling cancer and financially assists their families. Since 2007 Cal’s Angels has raised over $3.5 million allowing them to assist over 900 families and sponsor the two oncology floors at the new Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
Training and coaching has been a part of Tom’s life since his college days. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Northern Illinois University where he was also involved as a pledge trainer with the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Having a blended family of seven children, including Cal, whom are all active in sports, Tom enjoys spending his spare time coaching one or more of their baseball and softball teams each spring and summer. All of Tom’s life experiences, including the loss of his oldest child Cal to leukemia in August of 2006 at the age of 13, provided the impetus to write a book “Bitter or Better – Crushing Life’s Losses Into Victories” based on the principle that no matter what life throws at you there is no reason to let anything but you and your mind control your destiny.

My favorite part about working at Cal’s Angels is the unique bond we form with each family we meet and help, and we pass that bond onto our donors, volunteers, and sponsors.
I am wife to my favorite person and mom to three beautiful children. The other loves of my life are baking, interior design, and spending time with my family.

I like long, quiet walks on the beach and reading romance novels. Not. I love a good time – laughter is necessary to keep my sanity in this crazy world of ours. My world is blessed by my husband, Richie, who helped me form our own baseball team of seven children and our dog, Pippa, who rounds out the roster. As for hobbies, I fill my daily schedule as taxi driver, kids’ playmate, grocery getter, and payer of too many bills.
I love Cal’s Angels! I started as a supporter and got hooked. To be part of an organization that can put real smiles on these kids going through the worst time possible makes my heart full.

Theoni Limouris - Board Member
Theoni first heard of Cal’s Angels in July 2016 when Stacey Sutter attended a 100 Women Who Care Fox Valley quarterly meeting. That evening, Cal’s Angels was selected to receive their collective gift of $9,000.
Known for her signature “big check” presentations, she orchestrated a flash mob at Buttermilk in Geneva in order to surprise Tom Sutter with the funds. The event, captured and shared on social media directly resulted in thousands of more dollars being donated to Cal’s Angels. Just five months later, Theoni was asked to join the Executive Board. She will also be running the Chicago Marathon in 2017 with the Cal’s Angel Team. Her motto, “If you’re going to run 26.2 miles, it better be for a good reason.”
Multifaceted, Theoni has a background in education, corporate America, writing, community awareness & social responsibility. Her passions led her to launch Red Bug Telegram in 2017. An online blog featuring small businesses, charitable causes and good people. When time allows, a personal story that is sure to make one laugh can be found as well.
She resides in Batavia, IL with her husband Nick of over 18 years. They have two teenage children, Isabella and Dennis

Susan Ingebretson - Director of Operations and Finance
Thanks to my economics degree I know all about the “production, consumption, and transfer of wealth.” Sounds more like the definition of “parenthood.” My husband and I are blessed with three beautiful children. When I’m not wearing my superhero cancer-fighting cape, you’ll find me cheerleading my kids from the sidelines of soccer games. Among my loves in life, spending time with family tops the chart, followed by travel, and the chance to curl up with a good book.
I had the honor of knowing Cal and saw how he battled this nasty disease. He inspired me to get involved with the organization (my “second family”) from Day 1. My heart swells when I see the smiles that Cal’s Angels brings to every child and their families during the most difficult of times. Being a superhero for smiles is an awesome job!
